Chemistry at Cardinal Newman Catholic School
This interesting course furthers your understanding of chemical principles and the contribution science makes to the success of our economy and society. You will study the fundamental principles of physical, organic and inorganic chemistry and appreciate applications of Chemistry to a range of industries, including food technology, fuels, forensics, medicine and cosmetics.
Reference is made to ‘How Science Works’ covering a range of issues arising from the historical context in which new theories were suggested, the ways in which new materials have been developed and the increasing importance of chemistry in combating environmental threats.
The equivalent of atleast five GCSEs at grade C or above
