Electrical Installation Level 2 at East Kent College
Perfect if you want to learn the skills needed to work as an electrician or with electrical systems.
You’ll learn how to work safely and efficiently in an electrical environment, communicate technical information, wire and test electrical equipment and circuits. You will also form and assemble electrical cable enclosure and support systems, and maintain electrical equipment.
You can look forward to the chance to take part in national skills competitions and take part in on the job training exercises.
These Study Programmes will include English and maths at an appropriate level, and will support the development of skills towards employability and suitability to progress onto the next level of study.
4 Ds/3s or above, (2 must be English and Maths at level 4 or above) or a relevant full level 1 Diploma and English and Maths at Level 4 or above.
You will learn through practical sessions in our workshops and assessment will be through practical assignments, written work and online tests.
If you are 16-18yrs old at the start of the Study Programme, it will be free. There may be additional payments required for trips, visits and other materials. For adult learners (over 19) financial support towards the costs of your Study Programme may be
available. Eligible students may be able to get help with course related costs such as travel, equipment and childcare.

Please note: For those claiming state working age benefit this course is classed as part-time.
On successful completion you could chose to move onto study at a higher level or seek an apprenticeship within the electrical industry at Level 3.
