Business Administration Level 2 Apprenticeship at Kent Training & Apprenticeships

Course description

A Level 2 Business Administration Apprenticeship will help you develop skills and knowledge to provide a professional and effective supporting role in an office environment.

It is designed to reflect the work of administration staff across a wide range of industries and organisations. As part of your Apprenticeship you will work as part of a team and ensure the provision of information and resources to others.

It is aimed that by the end of your Apprenticeship you will be working with some autonomy and personal responsibility.

Course content

You will work towards the achievement of the QCF Level 2 Diploma in Business Administration; this includes technical knowledge and embeds Personal Learning and Thinking Skills. All Apprentices complete an e-portfolio to demonstrate competence and knowledge.

Functional Skills at Level 1,  maths, English and ICT are a requirement component of the Apprenticeship, these are exam based and course work is delivered by a combination of remote assessment and one to one support.

A Level 2 unit in Employee Rights and Responsibilities will also be a requirement of the Apprenticeship. This helps the Apprentice understand the aspects of employment, issues and legislation that relates to their work.

This qualification will require you to stay on programme for 12 months.

Entry requirements

We require all prospective candidates to take an initial assessment of Literacy and Numeracy. You will be required to have an interview to ensure that the programme is the right one for you.

 

 

Assessment

All Apprentices will have direct observation within the work place, by their assessor to enable them to collate evidence and show competency.

All Apprentices be expected to collect relevant evidence, obtain witness testimonies and information to provide evidence specific to the job role.

Financial information

The minimum wage for an Apprentice is £2.73 per hour - Some employers do pay more and will also pay travel expenses.

Future opportunities

The course offers you a specialist work-based qualification to support a range of careers in business and administration or to progress onto studying for an NVQ level 3 in business and administration or related subjects such as hospitality management.

With further training, you could continue to develop your career in business and administration by getting a job within marketing, finance or human resources.

The course is work based which means you can earn and learn whilst developing basic business skills, understanding and knowledge, which many employers and are looking for.

Progression opportunities

On completion of this qualification, the learner may choose to study further qualifications specific to their work role, progress to the next Level or CPD activities.
