Course description

This course will give you an introduction to the basic skills and knowledge needed to work in the hospitality industry.

Entry requirements

There are no formal qualifications required, but learners will be assessed at interview stage to ensure they are at entry level 3 or above in numeracy and literacy. A keen interest in the subject area would be beneficial.


Observation in practise, assignments and self evaluation. You will be learning and serving customers in a real kitchen and restaurant.

Future opportunities

You could progress to the NVQ Diploma in Food and Beverage Service Level 2, an Apprenticeship or you could seek employment.
