BTEC Level 3 Subsidiary Diploma in Travel and Tourism at Bitterne Park School
Course description
This course is primarily a (360 GLH) Technical Level qualification, equivalent to an A level. Its main purpose is to allow learners to develop the core specialist knowledge, understanding and skills required by the sector, including:
- Customer service
- Factors that affect tourism to and within the UK
- The component industries that make up the sector
- The different types of organisations operating in the travel and tourism business environment
Work experience and gaining employability is a main feature of this course. We work very closely with Southampton Airport and Carnival Plc, to develop work place skills.
