Drama & Theatre Studies AS & A Level at King George V College

Course description

KGV is the best place to study Drama and Theatre. We have a brand new, fully equipped Drama Hall performance space and Dance Studio.

In the first year of the course, you will study one set text and get the chance to make several theatre trips to experience professional performances. For your practical exam, you will work in a small group to create a piece of theatre based on a selected text, influenced by a theatre practitioner. In the second year, you will study two further set texts from an actor, director or designer’s perspective and produce a piece of devised drama in a small group again for your practical exam.

As you make decisions about your future, expert staff will be on hand to advise you and to help you prepare your audition pieces for drama school or university.
