Course description

Course aims to give students the opportunity to: - acquire knowledge and understanding of the human past - investigate historical events, people, changes and issues - develop an understanding of how the past has been represented and interpreted - use historical sources critically in their historical context - draw conclusions and appreciate that these and other historical conclusions are liable to reassessment in the light of new or re- interpreted evidence. - in depth study of the American West - local study on Life on Hadrian's Wall or Modern World Study on the Arab/Israeli Conflict - development study on Medicine Through Time

An interest in history and a willingness to work both independently and in groups
