Course description

The focus on this course is on 20th century British and Russian history. Study provides an overview of British history throughout the century whilst focusing on the specific sections for the examination.

The period of the Russian Revolution which is one of great historical interest and is studied from reign of the last Tsar through to the extraordinary events of 1917 and the horrors beyond.

Course content

AS - 3 units - documentary study of Britain 1900-1918, Britain 1945-1964, Russia 1894 - 1917

A2 - 3 units - development of mass media 1896-1996, Lenin, the Bolsheviks 1903-1924, independent investigation coursework

Entry requirements

Grade B or above in GCSE history
