Testing and Maintaining Air Conditioning and Heat Pump Systems (QCF): Level 2 Diploma at College of North West London (FE)

Course description

This course is suitable for you if you are preparing to seek employment, or are currently employed, in the engineering/building services industry (electrical installation, refrigeration and air conditioning, or welding and fabrication). At Level 2, you will build on your existing skills.

Course content

You will study three core subjects - engineering environment awareness, engineering techniques, and engineering principles - and various industry related units. The core units are worth 6 credits each and the optional units are worth 7 credits each.

Entry requirements

You will need English and Maths skills at Level 1. If you do not have evidence of your English and Maths levels you will be given an online English and Maths assessment after you submit your application. You may also be asked to complete a piece of free writing or a vocational assessment. If you meet the entry requirements you will then be offered an interview with a tutor to discuss the course.

Assessment

You will be assessed through practical skills tests, short written questions.
