Professional Cookery - level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship at Buxton & Leek College
- You'll train in advanced cooking skills, while developing the skills, experience and knowledge you've already gained at Level 2.
- If you lack confidence, you'll receive lots of support.
- You'll learn using a personal training plan and get the best of both worlds - college and work - so you'll learn and earn a wage.
During this course you'll develop advanced food preparation and cooking skills. You'll take part in practical skills sessions in your workplace and learn the theory either in college or using online learning materials.
You'll work with others as part of a team. You'll spend four or five days each week in work and come into college for one day.
You'll need to be working in a job where you can develop the skills required by this course and where your training will be supported by your employer.
You'll be invited to an informal interview with a member of the team to chat through the options available to you and make sure you choose the right course.
You'll be assessed throughout the course through observation of skills, practical and written assignments and projects.
You'll be able to apply for positions in hospitality businesses, from small independent operators to national and international companies.
