Hospitality BTEC Diploma Level 3 at Bracknell and Wokingham College

Course description

This course is intended for learners who want to acquire advanced level work related skills that lead to employment in hospitality and catering or progression into university courses or equivalent. Students will work with specialist lecturers for approximately 20 hours per week on Hospitality & Catering units and functional skills or GCES if required. Three to four hours of this will be taught in the training kitchen where you will experience cooking in a professional kitchen. Work experience will be included. You will also develop key employability skills such as teamwork, communication, time management, and using IT. Your progress on the course will be continually assessed through practical and written assignments.

Entry requirements

• F our GCSEs, including English Language, at grade A*-C or equivalent vocational qualifications at merit level or higher • If you do not have a grade C in GCSE maths you will be required to be working towards achieving this alongside your course

Future opportunities

• Higher Education - courses in Hospitality Management. This course could give you between 120 and 420 UCAS points depending on final grade • Employment
