Course description

The subject investigates the process behind the production of media texts such as TV shows, films, magazines and websites and gives you the chance to create these products yourself. Alongside the practical work students study the way media industries work and how they impact the range of products and information available to audiences.

The media sector is one of the fastest growing in the job market. Media Studies can lead to jobs in journalism, film, television, radio or advertising to name just a few areas.

5 A* - C including at least a C grade in English Language or Media Studies GCSE.
