Film Studies A level WJEC at Wimbledon College

Course description

Film Studies will engage you on an intellectual level in the study of film, film related materials and media. This study of the cinematic arts will be divided between both theoretical and complementary practical skills in digital film production. In Yr 12 students will gain experience in reading and analysing the language of film. This will then form the foundation of the rest of the course where they apply their knowledge by analysing a film of their choice and devising a film project creatively, applying appropriate planning and production skills effectively. In Yr 13 students will build upon the knowledge, understanding and skills gained in Yr 12 with greater depth of study.
