Adult Health and Social Care Intermediate Apprenticeship (Marple Campus) at Cheadle & Marple Sixth Form College

Course description

The Apprenticeship is suitable for anyone working in all areas of health and social care. The course combines assignments and observation of practical experience in the workplace. The employment award comprises of one unit. The certificate has 9 mandatory units which are transferred directly to the diploma with a variety of optional units.

Course content

The Health & Social Care framework comprises of:-  

  • Level 2 Award in Employment Responsibilities and Rights in Health, Social Care or Children and Young People‚Äôs Settings
  • Level 2 Certificate in Preparing to Work in Adult Social Care
  • Level 2 Diploma in Health & Social Care (Adults)
  • Level 1 Functional skills in numeracy and literacy

Entry requirements

There are no formal entry requirements and prior achievement will be accredited. Police clearance (CRB) is required.

Assessment

You will be assessed continually throughout your learning to confirm your competence milestones and achievements.

Future opportunities

The Apprenticeship provides an excellent foundation to L3/HE or future career aspirations in - Nursing, Health Care related Management, Physiotherapy.
