ESOL - Certificate in Business Studies Entry 3 at Harrow College

Course description

Learners who wish to improve their written and spoken English, Maths and IT skills and go on to further studies or employment. This course is for young students who have an interest in Business Studies.

Course content

You will study a certificate in business and quaifications in English and Maths.

A variety of methods will be used including group work, pair work, role play, written assessments, listening and speaking tasks, use of course book material, reading exercises, practising of 'real' situations.

Entry requirements

No formal qualifications are required. Students' level of English will be determined by a written test and an interview at enrolment. Students will also take an aptitude test to determine their interest and suitability for the programme.


Students will be continually assessed during class hours. There will be a test at the end of each business unit to be marked internally and moderated externally. Students will work towards an entry level certificate in Business. All students are expected to study for and to take exams in English, maths and ICT. They will also be required to develop a portfolio of work for their vocational certificate.
