Accounting AAT Apprenticeship Level 2 at Bath College

Course description

This course is aimed at those who wish to progress in accounting. The full qualification can lead to membership of the internationally recognised Association of Accounting Technicians. It offers underpinning knowledge of the rudiments of double-entry bookkeeping, from ledger accounts through to producing a trial balance. As this is a work-based course, all candidates must have employment as an apprentice in an accountancy-related role in order to fulfil the course requirements. All candidates complete computer-based assessments that contribute to their final certificate.

Course content

Level 2 Certificate in Accounting
This qualification will also include Functional Skills in English and maths at Level 1 (if not already achieved)

Entry requirements

There are no specific entry requirements for this course, but applicants should have a good aptitude in maths and English.

Assessment

Assessment is carried out by computer-based assessments and will be supported by your assessor.

Future opportunities

The qualification allows you to progress to either the workplace or onto specialised qualifications at the same, or higher level.
