Course description

This course provides you with the high level knowledge and experience to begin a career in the Computing industry or to study at higher level at City College or University.

City College’s Computing department specialises in delivering applied Computing courses. We pride ourselves in keeping up to date and our courses provide a sound theoretical and applied perspective to modern computing and IT topics.

This varied and interesting course enables you to develop the range of skills and techniques, personal skills and attributes essential for a successful career working in IT.

Entry requirements

Level 3 Diploma for IT practitioners at merit grade.

Assessment

Each module is internally assessed by a variety of methods including report writing, practical assignments and short tests. You will be assessed against criteria which explain the level of performance you are required to achieve.

Financial information

All full time courses are free to EU residents who are under 19 years old on the 31st August 2016. The only fees you have to pay are for specialist resources and equipment and the cost of these varies from £25 to £300 depending upon the subject you are studying.

Depending on your circumstances, you may be eligible for financial help from the college's learner support funds. You should apply for financial support as soon as you receive your offer letter.
