Health and Social Care at Andover College

Course description

A two year course to complete A Level, or one year to complete AS Level exploring aspects of Health and Social Care including types of communication, theories of development, psychological concepts and equality and diversity. Learning will take place through a variety of techniques such as group discussions, practical activities and research. All lessons are delivered by highly experienced and qualified staff with a wealth of knowledge and professional experience in range of different health and social care settings.

You will succeed on this course if you are keen and enthusiastic to learn. Within our professional and supportive environment you will have respect for other’s views and opinions, show commitment and take responsibility for reaching your full potential, with a strong emphasis on team work.

A range of different health and social care professionals are used as guest speakers to enhance learning in the classroom. Also learners are taken on a number of trips throughout the course to a range of health and social care settings to put theory into practice.

Five GCSEs at A* - C which must include English and Maths or Science.Interview Required: Yes
