Level 3 Subsidiary Diploma in Travel and Tourism at Hele's School

Course description

The course currently consists of 100% coursework and guest speakers, visits/trips are an integral part of the course. It can be presented in a number of ways; demonstration of skills, reports, booklets, presentations, exhibitions etc. All work is assessed at a pass, merit or distinction level.

Year 12

Unit 1 - Investigating the Travel and Tourism Sector.
Unit 3 - The UK as a Destination.
Unit 6 - Preparing for Employment in Travel & Tourism.

Year 13

Unit 2 - The Business of Travel and Tourism.
Unit 4 - Customer Service in Travel & Tourism.
Unit 7 - European Destinations. OR Unit 8 - Long Haul Travel Destinations.

Entry requirements

A keen interest in subject. Minimum of 5 GCSE's Grade C or above but ideally English Language at Grade B.
