Construction and the Built Environment (QCF) Level 3 Building Services BTEC Subsidiary at College of North West London (FE)

Course description

This course is for you if you wish to work, or are already working, within the Electrical / Refrigeration / Building Services industry, and you want to develop your skills so you can pursue your career in areas such as design, consultancy or project work, or wish to progress to university on a Higher Level course.

Course content

There are mandatory units plus a choice of units from the range of professional specialist areas, including electrical and refrigeration and air conditioning. Both the core and optional units are equal to 10 credits each.

Entry requirements

You will need English and Maths skills at Level 2. If you do not have evidence of your English and Maths levels you will be given an online English and Maths assessment after you submit your application. You may also be asked to complete a piece of free writing or a vocational assessment. If you meet the entry requirements you will then be offered an interview with a tutor to discuss the course.

Assessment

Each unit will be assessed by a range of written assignments to ensure each learning outcome is achieved.
