Advanced Apprenticeship

  • NVQ Level 3 in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning
  • Functional Skills Maths Level 2
  • Functional Skills English Level 2
  • Employment Rights and Responsibilities (ERR)
  • Full on the job training

Length of Course - 18 months

During the Apprenticeship, you will cover areas such as:

  • Involved in the installation and maintenance of air conditioning systems within a wide range of properties, domestic and larger commercial.
  • The candidate will learn the various processes involved dealing with pipework, ductwork and electrical as well as learning various mechanical construction skills.

Who is it for?

Construction is a huge industry with various different routes.

If you want a varied job that makes good use of your practical skills and takes you out and about, this could be perfect for you.

You will need to be good at solving problems, have the ability to follow technical plans, and understand the importance of health and safety. You’ll also need good customer care skills.

  • NVQ Level 3 in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning

Entry requirements

To start an Apprenticeship at either Level 2 or 3, you need to have a job or a placement in the industry as it is a work-based qualification.

You do not always need academic qualifications to start training for a career in Construction. However, some employers may prefer you to have a good standard of general Education such as GCSE's, including English and maths.

Financial information

Aged 16-18
Fully funded

Aged 19-23
Fully funded for employers with less than 1000 employees. For employers with 1000+ employees, please contact us for further details.

Aged 24 and over
Total People require employers to make a contribution towards the cost for all learners aged 24 years and over, embarking on an Apprenticeship.

Future opportunities

After completing your Apprenticeship in any of the Construction Trades, you will be able to progress onto further qualifications or promote to higher positions including supervisor and managerial.
