Sport: Level 3 Sub.Diploma at Chestnut Grove Academy

Course description

This qualification is ideal for people who wish to work in the sport or leisure industry, or study Sport Science / Physical Education at degree level at university. The course combines practical & theory work. However, the vast majority of assessment is based on theory coursework. The team sports studied are Football & Volleyball, and students also complete a practical unit in adventurous activities.

WHICH CAREER PATHWAYS EXIST AFTER STUDYING THIS SUBJECT?

·         Progress to Higher Education; each year students  progress to Universities studying a wide range of sports related programmes,

·         Employment in sports related industries, e.g. administrators for Sports Council and fitness clubs, Private Health and Fitness Club management, Assistant Managers in Sports Centres, Sports Development Officers,

·         Physical Training Instructors

·         Leisure Assistants in swimming pools, leisure centres or sports centres.
