Course description

Everyone!  This is because no matter what career path you take, most jobs demand some kind of knowledge of world economic affairs, as they have such a deep impact on the business environment.

Demonstration of this kind of understanding can make you a more attractive candidate for a job. 

Course content

Course topics include:

  • Economic Principles
  • Exploring economic behaviour
  • Evaluating economic models and policies.

Entry requirements

You will need a A*-C in GCSE English as a minimum and a A*-C in Maths GCSE. 

Future opportunities

Economics ‘A’ Level works well with any subject – be it English, Maths, Languages, History, Government and Politics, Law, Geography or Sociology.
Economics can then be used in University or Higher Education to pursue Degree courses in subjects such as Economics, Economic History, Business, Accountancy, Politics, Languages, International Business, or Marketing.
