Business L2 Diploma at Bishop Auckland College

Course description

Cambridge Technicals are qualifications designed for students aged 16+ and provide specialist work-related qualifications in a range of sectors. They give learners the knowledge, understanding and skills that they need to prepare for employment. The qualifications also provide career development opportunities for those already in work. You will gain the knowledge, skills and personal qualities required to work in a range of business organisations. You will also be involved in practical sessions requiring the use of computers. This full time course is taught over 3 days a week for 1 year. Your course will include Functional Skills and may include additional studies relevant to your main programme.

Course content

September to December Certificate/January to June Diploma. You will study a range of units relating to Business, as well as developing your Maths, English and IT skills. You will also be involved in practical sessions relating to working in a business and develop research skills. The course includes mandatory work experience in a local business. The units are taught in classes with activities based on unit content and assessed by a portfolio of assignment work.

Future opportunities

The knowledge, skills and personal qualities required to work in a range of business organisations. Topics covered will include: Business purposes, Business organisations, People in organisations, Business documentation, Customer Relations, Marketing Plan.

 

What can I do when I finish?

If you gain suitable grades you may progress to the Level 3 Business course.
