Engineering Foundation Programme Level 1 at Furness College
An exciting introduction to enhance and complement the engineering courses offered, this multi-disciplinary course is designed as a first step for learners seeking a career in the engineering sector which includes; Electrical, Fabrication, Welding, Pipework and Mechanical Engineering.
The Programme is made up of the EAL Level 1 Certificate in Engineering Technology and the EAL Level 1 Certificate in Performing Engineering Operations. The course will raise awareness of the vast range of opportunities in the engineering and manufacturing
Every full-time course will include a real experience of work.
Maths and English form part of this course and will be assessed at the relevant levels.
A – G grades are required in maths, English and science.
Through projects and assessments.
You will need overalls, boots, stationery and drawing equipment.
Students can progress on to the Level 2 Engineering Foundation Programme or an Apprenticeship. Progression is based on aptitude and a successful interview.
