AQA Baccalaureate at Poole Grammar School
Students are offered this as an additional qualification. It combines broader study, enrichment activities and the extended project and at least three A-level subjects. In addition to completing the required examination courses, students complete an online diary of enrichment activities. These can be carried out through the school, as part of our enrichment programme, or can include out of school activities. This demanding qualification should appeal to the highly motivated student.
Students will need to be highly motivated and have a desire to do more than just the subjects in school. It requires completion of the EPQ (extended project) and the enrichment activities need to be wide ranging and varied. The enrichment activities can take place over the course of Year 12 and Year 13 and can include paid work, which is an invaluable experience.
Places on AS Level courses can, subject to available places, normally be offered to applicants who meet the minimum course requirements. The only requirement will be that the student is taking the Extended Project and General Studies AS level.
