Customer Service Apprenticeship Level 3 at Stratford-upon-Avon College

Course description

Our Level 3 Apprenticeship in Customer Service aims to provide you with the knowledge, understanding and skill set to provide exceptional customer service within an organisation, which can also be applied to hundreds of job roles across many sectors. As an advanced customer service apprentice, you’ll develop your skills to ensure you communicate effectively and ensure all customers are dealt with in a positive, friendly, reliable and pleasant way – by offering advice, answering questions or handling complaints. You’ll also participate in improving the organisations customer service operation, handle problems such as monitoring and solving customer service problems, risk assess and buddy colleagues to develop their own customer service skills.

This Apprenticeship course is aimed at individuals who currently work in a customer facing role or those who are looking to work in a supervisory role where you interact with customers on a day to day basis.

This Apprenticeship Framework consists of the following components:

Diploma: Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Customer Service

Technical Certificate: Not Applicable

*Functional Skills: Level 2 in Mathematics, Level 2 in English

Other: Level 2 Certificate in Employment, Rights and Responsibilities

*Functional Skills are only applicable to learners who have not already achieved GCSE grade A-C in English and Maths (or equivalent)


To achieve the Diploma element of this course, you will be required to complete a series of units which are then assessed in conjunction with observations in the workplace. This is to ensure you are able to demonstrate practical skills and knowledge in a real setting.  To achieve the Functional Skill components, you will be required to undergo a series of formal tests. All knowledge required to achieve these components will be gained alongside the Diploma. Testing will commence at College and you may be required to attend sessions at College.
