Course description

The course for you if ...

You're happy to study in a busy college environment but would like a little bit of extra support to develop greater independence and self-belief.

Course content

This course provides the perfect bridge between school and adult life by encouraging you to develop functional skills and access a range of subjects including: Personal and social development; Work placements; Independent living; and Enterprise.

As well as skills in the subjects listed above, you will cover Functional Skills in English and Maths.

You will be fully supported to develop a plan for your personal progress into Further Education and training as well as gaining enterprise and employability skills.

Entry requirements

You don't need any formal qualifications to join this course, however you should have basic Maths and English skills.

Assessment

You will be assessed during classroom activities throughout the programme.

Future opportunities

You may be able to move into further study at TyneMet College on a wide range of vocational courses.
