Warehouse and Storage at North Lancs Training Group (NLTG)

Course description

What is Warehouse and Storage?

As an apprentice in the warehousing industry, you may play a major role in the security and safety within the warehouse whilst loading and unloading lorries/trailers. Also, in the warehouse, you may be involved in picking, packing and dispatching products for customers’ needs and undertaking the logistical aspects of warehousing.

All training will be done in company using relevant equipment. You may be dealing with customers, colleagues and other people and will gain good communication skills. You will also be assessed on an ongoing basis by your Training Officer and be asked to produce any evidence required for you to progress towards achieving your Apprenticeship.

What training will I receive?

There will be no need to attend college as you will be assessed in the workplace by a qualified NLTG Tutor. Your tutor will come out to visit you at your place of work every 4 - 6 weeks. If you are unsure that an Apprenticeship is right for you then why not have a look at our 'Why choose an Apprenticeship?' page. If you feel you are not yet ready for an Apprenticeship, then why not have a look at a Traineeship first?
