Performing Arts (Music) BTEC Level 1 Diploma at The City of Liverpool College

Course description

This level 1 programme is suitable for school leavers and is a great way to start your career. It enables you to develop the skills and confidence to progress in college and into work. You will develop a wide range of skills in your chosen subject area as well as gaining qualifications in English, maths and ICT.

The course offers you the opportunity to study a range of music. If you are undecided which path to choose, then this course can open up the area of Music for you and help your progress through the other levels of training offered within Music. You will be assessed for your English and maths and work at the level that's right for you.

You will have a personal tutor and a weekly tutorial.

Entry requirements

You do not need to have any formal qualifications in Music but you will need to show that you have an interest in the area. You will need to be at Entry 3 or above in English/ESOL and Maths (GCSE grades F and G).

    • The Arts Centre is located in Liverpool's Hope Street Quarter.
