Carpentry & Joinery Diploma Level 3 at East Berkshire College

Course description

This one year advanced course will give you good knowledge of complex site carpentry tasks and an insight into supervisory situations.

The course has on-going practical assessment, a phase test and on-line exam at the end.

At present the Diploma requires the completion of practical and theory tasks, unit end tests followed by on-line exam and practical phase test.

Entry requirements

  • Completion of Diploma 1 & 2, functional skills at level 2 with good references and satisfactory attendance records


Practical in workshops and theory in classrooms, on line theory exams at the end of each unit and a practical assessment test.

Future opportunities

  • Level 4/5 HND or subject to suitable employment you could gain an NVQ in site carpentry
  • A Carpentry career at an advanced level or progression into site management.
