AQA Baccalaureate at Bishop Luffa School
The AQA Baccalaureate comprises the following components. Students take three A Level subjects as normal. In addition theycomplete:AS Critical Thinking, studied and assessed in Year 12 The Extended Project, which will be studied at the end of Year 12 (after the module exams), and at the start of Year13. The EP will develop and extend from one of the student’s study areas and/or an area of personal interest or activityoutside of their main programme of study. It provides stretch and challenge to students. It also provides higher education institutions with evidence of a student’s ability to plan, research,evaluate and reflect on a project, and to use a range of skills appropriate to study in higher education. We are offering the AQA Baccalaureate as an additional qualification for students whoachieved most highly at GCSE. It will extend students and challenge them to achieve at the top level. It is studied across Years 12 and 13.
