Information Technology Programming (Single) BTEC Level 3 at East Norfolk Sixth Form College

Course description

This is a coursework based vocational course, with three compulsory units that will introduce you to the skills needed to work in the field of computer programming. This course is suitable for students who are interested in programming but would prefer to take a coursework based qualification rather than the A-level in Computer Science.

Entry requirements

Grade C in at least four GCSEs (including English Language and Maths) plus an interest in programming.

Assessment

Awarding Body – Edexcel

The course is continually assessed throughout the year through assignments, projects and reports. Many of these assignments are practically-based using IT applications.

Future opportunities

This course can lead to higher education or employment in the IT industry.
