Course description

This course, in combination with AS/A2 levels in other disciplines, seeks to support learners who are intending to progress onto Higher Education. Students learn by completing projects and assignments that are based on realistic workplace situations, activities and demands.

The College has well-established and unlimited access to some of Hampshire’s premier training facilities in the Andover area in addition to all the local sports clubs. These links have been well established over the years and provide first class facilities for the students. Our talented teaching staff, includingHampshire Cricket Club’s Academy psychologist and Olympic Lifting coach, bring with them a wealth of academic and industry experience. Students should be prepared for all lessons, either practical or theory based, and apply themselves at all times.

A passion for sport or fitness is a must and a desire to learn and develop is key to success on the qualification. We stretch and challenge our students to strive for the best they can achieve; therefore, students require high levels of self-motivation.In addition to a fantastic learning environment, we offer a multitude of experiences. We run various academies including football (men’s and women’s), rugby and golf and they play competitive fixtures against other colleges. We offer many different extra-curricular activities such as 5 a-side football, badminton, gym club, kayaking, trampolining, community coaching projects and much, much more!
