Creative Media Production - Level 3 at Middlesbrough College

Course description

This course is aimed at students who have an interest in the creative applications of electronic media in the modern Media Industry, with a view to pursue careers in areas such as Video Production, Multimedia, Radio, Animation, and Digital Graphics.

Course content

The course is practical and work related and students will receive training in subjects such as: Film and Video Production Digital Imaging Animation Radio Production Photography It also includes production units such as: Research Techniques Understanding the Creative Sector Pre-production Techniques Production Management Working to a Client Brief

Entry requirements

To gain entry to this course you must possess four or more GCSE’s at Grade C or above including English at Grade C or above (or an equivalent qualification) and preferably Maths at Grade C or above (or equivalent qualification). You must also undertake a successful interview and provide a satisfactory reference. "If you do not have a Grade A to C in English and/or Maths, you will be required to continue studying these subjects as part of your Study Programme."


Continuous series of assignments and projects.

Future opportunities

This course provides students with the necessary experience and qualifications for progression into Higher Education to study Degrees and Foundation Degrees. Alternatively, this course is preparation for Entry Level employment in various aspects of Media.
