Domestic Plumbing and Heating Level 3 at Malvern Hills College
The advanced course for those preferring to continue their training in a College environment.
During your course you will be undertaking both theory and practical exercises. The practical training will involve installation of cold water systems using copper and plastic pipework, control systems, hot water systems and radiators.
The theory training will involve central heating design, installation and maintenance, gas and oil awareness, heating system controls, hot water and cold water systems design, installation and maintenance, material and processes selection and principles of electricity.How will I be studying?
You will be trained in the College’s Energy Training Centre and you will undertake practical and theoretical assignments during your course.
You will need five GCSEs grade A - C (English, Maths and Science) and to enjoy practical activities and problem solving.
You will be assessed by online multiple choice exams.
On successful completion of this course you could move into a career in gas, oil or domestic plumbing and heating.
