Electrical and Electronic Engineering Technology EAL Level 2 Diploma at Brooklands College
This course covers the knowledge and understanding of the principles, methods and technology involved in electrical and electronic engineering. You will gain understanding of and the skills required for the electronic industry.
Who is the course suitable for?
Students who are interested in a full-time course which could either lead to a further qualification in electronics/ and or engineering or employment as an Electrical and Electronic Engineer, Security Systems Maintenance Engineer, Engineering Maintenance Technician, or other related roles in Manufacturing Engineering or Telecommunications.
Course units include: Three mandatory units covering engineering principles, techniques and environment awareness plus three optional units.
Units included for options: Applied electrical and mechanical science for engineering technicians, electronic devices and communication applications, using computer aided drawing techniques, operational and maintenance of electronic systems and components and electronic circuit construction.
4 GCSEs A*-C or above, including Maths (preferably in the higher paper) English and Science or a relevant Level 1 course including English and Maths.
The course is assessed through multiple choice exams and assignments.
Your tutor will advise you of any additional costs at the start of the course. Students are allocated a certain amount of free printing, after which a small fee will be incurred.
A level 3 course Electrical and Engineering technology or employment in Manufacturing related to electronic components, Fitting Telecommunications equipment, Electronic Security Systems maintenance and manufacture, Electronics in Automotive Industry and Diagnostics.
