Physics at Sprowston Community High School
Physics is at the heart of everything around us, from the infinite grandness of the Universe to the subatomic particles that are the building block of matter. Physics asks questions that enable us to develop a great understanding of our position in the universe; its past, present and future.
During Year 12, student will study mechanics, forces, energy, electricity and quantum theories. In Year 13, students go on to develop an understanding of Newtonian physics, fields, particles, nuclear and thermal physics along with cosmology.
To study A Level courses you will need to have achieved at least 5 GCSE Grades A*-C in full courses including either English or Maths. 2 GCSE grades at a B or above in Science A and Additional Science or a B grade in GCSE Physics. B grade or above in GCSE Mathematics is also required.
