Cambridge Technicals Level 3 are vocational qualifications for students aged 16+. They’re designed with the workplace in mind and provide a high-quality alternative to A Levels,
It will provide learners with the opportunity, through applied learning, to develop the core specialist knowledge, skills and understanding required in the health and social care sector.
To achieve this qualification, learners must achieve at least a pass grade in 12 units which will include subjects such as
Communication,Relationships,Anatomy and Physiology, Equality and Diversity, Safety and Security, Infection control, Safe Guarding, Dementia, Sexual Health, Career planning.
5 Exams – Externally marked and moderated
7 Course Work Units -Internally Marked and Externally moderated.
The qualification carries UCAS points and is recognised by higher education providers as contributing to meeting admission requirements to many relevant courses. This qualification is primarily designed to support progression to employment via higher education; however this qualification will also be relevant for those who choose to progress directly to employment, through a Health and Social Care apprenticeships.
