Applied Business AS/A Level at The Ripley Academy
AS: Three units studied – Two pieces of coursework and a third examination module.
Full A level content: AS content plus three further units consisting of two pieces of coursework and a third examination module.
There are six modules in total for the award of the A level at the end of Year 13.
There are no formal entry requirements to study Business, although students who have studied either GCSE Business or Economics will have an advantage.
Coursework is assessed internally and then assessed externally by AQA. The external examinations are in May/June.
Business is a universal qualification which means that this course is ideal for students considering careers in almost any area.
A few examples include those wanting to establish their own Business, as well as careers in Retail, Management, Teaching, Accountancy, Sales, Marketing amongst many others.
