Art, 3D and Photography A Level at La Retraite Roman Catholic Girls' School

Course description

You will:
- Learn how to use a range of media, processes and techniques.
- Draw, design, paint, print, photograph, sculpt and create handmade and digital collages.
- Explore the work of artists from the past and present

All practical work will be supported through the reflective use of sketchbooks and observational study which will include attendance at life drawing classes and skills-based workshops. You will broaden your experience in Art and take part in many varied visits to galleries, art colleges and degree shows.

Entry requirements

To gain entry onto the A Level Pathway students would need 5 or more B grades in their GCSE qualifications including a C grade in Maths and English Language. A Level students should chose 3 subjects and the ASDAN COPE Award.

Assessment

For A level 50% coursework and 50% examination. Students will be required to submit a written investigation of 1,000 - 3,000 words as part of their coursework.

Saturday School placements at Camberwell College of Arts.
