During this introductory Animal Care course you will undertake theory-based lessons, along with some practical work related to the correct care and husbandry of a large range of animals.

Entry requirements

  • At least 2 GCSEs at grade D or above, including English Language, and 2 GCSEs at grade E or above in Maths and Science

You will be expected to take English and Maths as part of your programme to improve your qualifications in these subjects.

Assessment

Assessment is by assignment-based coursework and some practical work.


Further information

You must complete 75 hours work experience within an approved animal-based work placement.

Visits will include the Guide Dogs for the Blind training and breeding centres.
