Mathematics AS & A Level at Biddenham Upper School and Sports College

Course description

AS and A2 course in Mathematics.

The AS course consists of 3 modules:

1. Core 1 (taking GCSE topics slightly further and making students aware of the proper notation and language used for certain topics).

2. Core 2 (Addressing more advanced topics by building on skills already used both at GCSE and in Core 1).

3. Application module (either Statistics 1, Mechanics 1 or Decision 1 depending on the student's ability, subject choices at AS level and their ability to work using individualised learning with teacher support. It will also depend on the teacher's preference).
