Chemistry A-Level at WALSALL ACADEMY
The Science courses offered at Walsall Academy are designed to provide academic and vocational experiences. They will prepare students for their choice of career in both the world of work and Higher Education.
We expect all students to demonstrate a high level of motivation and have the capacity for hard work. Sixth Form work is demanding and students are expected to take increased responsibility for their own learning through supported self-study courses. Excellent attendance is vital if students are to benefit from the courses.
There are opportunities to become a STEM ambassador. We have many visiting speakers including ex-students advising on apprenticeship opportunities. UKCAT preparation sessions are organised for those interested in Medicine, Dentistry and Veterinary Sciences. University led careers workshops are provided each year. Session 3 exam preparation is offered for all students. Career focussed work placements are available on a regular basis or in a two week block.
