Sport (BTEC) Level 3 Diploma (2 A Levels equivalent) at Stanborough School

Course description

The BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Sport is equivalent to two ‘A’ levels and is studied for the duration of two years. You will follow thirteen units of work which will include the body in action, health and safety in sport and training and fitness for sport, sports development, sports coaching, fitness testing for sport and exercise and six specialist units. You will experience many areas of the sports industry from coaching and leading activities in local primary schools to experiencing what it would be like to run a sports centre. You will also get the opportunity to follow two practical sport aspects. The BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Sport will open many doors which include points towards university places and jobs in the Sports Industry such as Sports Development Officer, Leisure Centre Manager, Retail and Physiotherapy

Entry requirements

APS 38.5 if the majority of subjects studied are BTECs. A successful interview.
