For Level 1 learners GCSE achievement, whilst important, is not the only method to assess a learner's suitability for a Diploma in Professional Cookery. Employers are actively seeking employees with a range of skills that include, for example, work ethic, personal presentation, the ability to work with others, and communication skills. It is important when applying and being interviewed that these skills are considered.
