GCSE Mathematics Year 12/13 Resit at Morecambe Community High School
It is now compulsory that any student in the sixth form who has not achieved a grade C or better at GCSE has to continue to study GCSE Mathematics until a grade C is achieved or for the time they are in sixth form.
The course will build on topics you have already done.
This will be achieved by following the EDEXCEL Level 1 and 2 certificates in Number and measure and Level 1 in Statistical Methods both of which support the basic skills necessary to get a grade C at GCSE.
A resit in November if the total summer exam marks are within 10 of a grade C
A resit in June for all students following the course.
The Level 1 & 2 Number and Measure in June
The Level 1 Statistical Methods in June
Each course has two exams. One is non-calculator, the other is a calculator exam. You are
expected to provide your own calculator.
