GCSE Mathematics Year 12/13 Resit at Morecambe Community High School

Course description

It is now compulsory that any student in the sixth form who has not achieved a grade C or better at GCSE has to continue to study GCSE Mathematics until a grade C is achieved or for the time they are in sixth form.

Course content

The course will build on topics you have already done.

This will be achieved by following the EDEXCEL Level 1 and 2 certificates in Number and measure and Level 1 in Statistical Methods both of which support the basic skills necessary to get a grade C at GCSE.

Assessment

A resit in November if the total summer exam marks are within 10 of a grade C

A resit in June for all students following the course.

The Level 1 & 2 Number and Measure in June

The Level 1 Statistical Methods in June

Each course has two exams. One is non-calculator, the other is a calculator exam. You are

expected to provide your own calculator.
