Plumbing Level 3 Diploma at West Herts College

Course description

Want to take the next step in your training as a plumber? Build on your knowledge with the skills you need for work in plumbing and building services engineering, including design aspects of plumbing and heating systems.

Course content

Comprehensive training across:

  • Environmental technology systems

  • Plumbing system installation planning

  • Complex cold water systems

  • Domestic hot water

  • Sanitation and drainage systems

  • Central heating systems

  • Introduction to domestic gas principles

You’ll study and be assessed in our specialist workshops and classrooms, with regular practical tests and the development of a written portfolio.

In readiness for employment or further study, you’ll complete a GAP work programme and developing your English and maths.

Entry requirements

Level 2 Diploma in plumbing. You must attend a course introduction meeting.

Future opportunities

Progress to a plumbing NVQ or work in plumbing and building services engineering or take additional qualifications such as accreditations for gas installations.
