Course description
The course presents the opportunity to develop skills and knowledge required for a successful career in a range of public Services including the armed and emergency forces
Course content
Units will include
- government and policies
- leadership and teamwork
- citizenship
- discipline
- outdoor and adventurous activities
- physical preparation.
Entry requirements
Five GCSE's at grade C or above, including English and maths or Functional skills at level 2 BTEC Level 2 at Merit or Distinction Level and Functional English at Level 2.
Assessment
Written presentations, discussions, assignments and practical activities.
Future opportunities
- Diploma/Extended Diploma in Public Services.
- Progression to the full extended Diploma in Public Services or to employment the armed and emergency services such as Police, Army, RAF Fire Brigade, Royal Navy or within Local Authorities.
