Course description

To provide opportunities for full time learners to achieve a broad based understanding of the travel and tourism industry. To provide opportunities for learners to focus on the development of the major key skills in a travel and tourism and airport context.

Entry requirements

A minimum of 2 GCSEs grade D or above or successful achievement at a Level 1 vocational course.

Assessment

Internally assessed coursework with practical elements.

Financial information

Visits and other costs to be paid during the year as required Approx. £50 - £100.

Future opportunities

Level 2 Diplomas are valued by employers and learners can progress to a Level 3 Extended Diploma in Travel and Tourism and other related subjects.

      In addition to Art & Design and Media, our Moulsham Street campus also houses our Childcare and Health & Social Care departments; Applied Science and Extended Learning departments; Sport and Public Services departments. As well as Business, IT and Travel & Tourism.

      The campus also houses a Learning Centre, Skills Development Centre, Assessment Centre, Tutorial Centre, a Copyshop and Refectory. Situated on the grounds of this campus are Dovedale Nursery and Dovedale Sports Centre.
